Knowing who Jesus is, is a good way to also know the Holy Spirit. Text: Acts 1:1-11

1. The Acts of the Holy Spirit

2. The Spirit of Christ

3. Illuminating Jesus

4. Walking with the Holy Spirit?

5. He’s still guiding the Church

1. What is your understanding of who the Holy Spirit is and what he does?
2. How does seeing the Holy Spirit as the Spirit of Christ help you understand him better? (That what we know of Jesus, is also true of the Holy Spirit).
3. Read Acts 5:1-9. Peter speaks about these people lying to the Holy Spirit and lying to God. Read the passage and discuss how it sheds light on understanding the Holy Spirit as part of the Trinity.
4. Read Acts 1:1-8. How does Luke present both Jesus and the Holy Spirit in these opening verses? What does this add to your understanding of their relationship? How does it create more questions for you?
5. The book of Acts could be said to be about the Acts of the Holy Spirit. However, Jesus is spoken of more than twice as many times in this book. What lessons should we take from this reality? What does that mean for us as Christians?
6. What do you need to do to become more open to receiving guidance and understanding from the Holy Spirit? John 14:15-26; Galatians 5:16-26.

1. Read the book, “Flame of Love,” by Clark Pinnock.
